Police in Howrah, West Bengal, reported on Tuesday that a man died after being allegedly assaulted by two youngsters for bothering his 15-year-old daughter. The dad had questioned the youths about their behavior.

According to the police, they have detained one of the two suspects and are searching for the other, who has fled.
Based on a report made by the victim’s relatives, we have detained one of the suspects. He was accused of violating the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and other parts of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, according to a senior police officer.
The claimed incident allegedly occurred on Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. when the girl, a class 10 student, was returning home after her lessons when two youngsters stopped her and harassed her.
The police claim that after she reported the assault to her family when she got home, his father hurried outside to face the accused adolescents.
The man and two young people got into a fight as a result, and he eventually went home, according to a police officer looking into the incident.
On Monday evening, he reported feeling unwell. After being brought to a rural hospital, the doctors there recommended that he be taken to the Uluberia sub-divisional hospital. The officer said, He passed away on Tuesday morning.
His body was sent for a post-mortem, and the officer said that we couldn’t determine the cause of death until we received the autopsy report.
The arrested accused’s wife, however, denied the harassing event and said her husband was being set up.
According to the accused husband’s wife, both the deceased and the accused were drunk at the time of the altercation on Sunday night, according to police.
